Oh yuck, I look really gross in this picture. From the basketball game last night, that's me and my friend, Levy. We've decided that we're going to try and take a picture of the two of us every year at one of the basketball games.
Attractive, is it not?
So the reason for all the quick, crappy pictures this week is that it was finals week. I had so much to do and study for that I really didn't have time to take any pictures that actually required a little bit of time. Not to mention taking pictures totally slipped my mind.

Finally, one that I took using my actual camera. I was lying on my bed when I remembered that I'm supposed to be taking a picture every day so I took this one right before I went to sleep. I don't have light switch covers, I know. It's because I painted my room a couple months ago and my mom hasn't gotten around to making the light switch and outlet covers she said she would.

Cell phone camera picture, this was the only picture I took this day because I completely forgot to take one. This is what the kid I sit across from in Journalistic Composition brought to class, a jug of orange juice, graham crackers, a Christmas mug (it has reindeer on it!), and 3 cartons of milk. And he ate and drank it all during class. It was really really disgusting to watch him drip milk everywhere.

I took a walk today with one of my friends. We went down to Boeing Creek and took a few pictures, not many of mine turned out since I was adjusting all the different shutter speeds and ISO and stuff. This was one of the few that didn't look really blurry or overexposed, I kinda like it. It looks almost like I used one of the effects on photoshot. It's actually just the reflection of the trees and sky in the water.

I couldn't choose between these three pictures, I like all of them. :-)
First one is the moon tonight. It took me a reeeally long time to get the camera to focus right, and even longer to take a picture where it wasn't shaky at all. Thank god for tripods.
The second one is me looking through my drawing book. I hate to admit it, but I messed with the colors just a little bit because I wasn't satisfied with how it looked straight from the camera. I feel terrible, I hate when I edit photos.
The third one is water in Boeing Creek, a park by my house. I was changing the shutter speeds on my camera, trying to figure out a good setting when shooting water. There were so many pictures that didn't come out, this was one of the only good ones.

For some reason Blogger isn't letting me upload this one picture, so here's a link to it!

Just one more day, one more day and it'll be the weekend.
Okay, I admit, I'm bad at this whole blogging thing. I don't update every day, which I really should so that I actually have something to write about for each day. I've just been super busy lately, as you all probably know. At least I'm done with History Day, which is a huge weight off my shoulders. That was really a terrible project.

I was reading a book about photography that I got for Christmas and decided to try one of the effects that was in it, a slow shutter speed with moving light. I took this picture while we were driving on the freeway, it'd be cooler if I had been standing on a bridge or something, looking down so I got both the red and white lights of cars, but this is what I have for now. Hopefully I'll try it again sometime.

So this is the loaner laptop I got after my laptop crashed. Yes, it crashed WHILE I was working on my History Day project, so I didn't have what I had done that night backed up. So. Effing. Frustrating. The loaner doesn't read CD's, and sounds like it's going to catch fire if I'm on the internet too long. And the L key doesn't work very well.
But I'm lucky cause my World Studies teacher is amazingly nice and extending my due date instead of telling me "Too bad, you should've constantly been backing it up." Yay, Mr. C!

Yup, this has been my entire day. History Day. My topic is Waldo King and how he innovated jazz education in Seattle, so I've been researching and rewriting my script for my documentary. I am STRESSED!!! I've been looking for music by the high school jazz bands in the area, so these are some Shorewood jazz band CD's and my totally rad headphones.
I cannot wait until History Day is over, it's completely taken over my life. Literally, the only thing I think about anymore is History Day. I don't do much during breaks at school (like STAR today) because of HD. I tried to go in the tech lab to get them to help me get a video off of Youtube for my project, and I thought I was gonna get killed when I asked if for help.
Sigh, the joys of high school.

Almost forgot about today, thankfully I saw Graham's status on Facebook and I remembered.
I felt like I should replace the pictures on my bulletin board considering I had my freshman HC pictures on it and my friends cringe when they see them because every couple in the group broke up in a somewhat messy way. I didn't have any good, recent pictures so I made use of all the sticky notes I write on. I always keep a pad of sticky notes at my desk, for when I'm listening to music and there's a line that I really like, or I just feel like not doing homework.
My day was devoted to homework, what a terrible way to spend the last day of winter break. Teachers should learn that no one does homework over a break until the last minute, so why bother assigning a lot?

So, I'm a terrible person. I went around our yard today, taking pictures instead of doing my mountain of homework. Oh, god, no.
This is a buoy that my mom found on the Oregon coast. We have a ton of these just lying around our yard, I like how a lot of them have numbers printed on them somewhere.
And another thing, I've finally installed Photoshop on my computer, because I got it for Christmas. The only problem is that I really hate Photoshop, I believe it will be the death of photography. So what do I do with it?
